Our manatee tour guides are licensed coast guard captains and Certified Dive
Masters. Manatee
adventures also available in the blue waters of Homosassa Springs. Daily

When you enter the water to snorkel with the manatees, the Captain will join you, to supervise your experience and shoot digital quality videos which you may purchase* All tours are educational and conducted with respect to the manatees first. We show the Fish and Wildlife "Manatee Manners" video, and give a thorough briefing of laws during the tour. The Manatee Awareness Specialty Program from PADI is available to preserving there experience.

| Manatee Information
--- The Florida manatee is a subspecies of the west Indies manatee. The
manatee is a
strange aquatic mammal residing in the warm coastal waters and springs
throughout Florida. Its color ranges from light green to dark brown average
length 8 to 10 ft and weight 1200 to 1500 lbs. Largest recorded over 14 ft
and 3500 lbs. The Manatee has two small forelimbs with 3 to 4 nails on each
flipper. Its clouted relative is the elephant. Unable to withstand cold temperature of less the 68° F the manatee seeks the warmth of the Florida springs witch produce a constant 72° F temp. There for in the winter months as many as 400 manatee will make the springs of crystal river there home.
All Manatee Tours Depart from our very own waterfront property and docks located adjacent to our Store; eliminating the need to travel to a public boat ramp or a commute from the store saving you time.. Free on property parking affords ease and convenience and allows our guests to be the first on the water every morning. To make your tour a "personal or family experience" we limit the number of guests on each of our boats to avoid the "cattleboat" situation so common with all the other tour operators in the area. Due to the manatee habits, finding manatee in the afternoon is more challenging than the morning tours, therefore we do not recommend departing later then 10:00 am.
